I got on with it a second ago but then immediately got off and got back on Firefox. I love Firefox.

It needs more ram and CPU power than Windows XP.
From running it once and browsing 10 web sites (quoted from here):
300-400mb ram
150-200 execution threads
6 copies running at the same time
That is just wrong. Its just meant to render web pages.

By now I'd have thought someone would do a stripped down browser: w3c compliant, bookmarks, anonymous mode, tabbed browsing, password management. I'm sure that's all most people need. Personally, I like Firefox and a few of its plugins, but for 98% of my internet use, I probably don't need something this robust. I guess I'm sorta about the original Firefox/Firebird (plus the anonymous mode).
Hopefully Firefox 3.1 will address the 3.x speed issues. Although I worry after this initial 'catch-up' phase, Browser Wars II will feature progressively slower browsers as popular sites start to cram tons of javascript onto every page.

Maximum Awesome
