Kittyn, I had a great time at your show. That goes to the Gotard as well.

Will you play Nitzer Ebb for me next week? Also, I noticed that Darkstar has some songs on your list. Play one of those, too, please.

Your fan,

fuba_R

Utopia plays Nitzer Ebb quite often.

Ahhh yes... but does Utopia have 12" rare import vinyl and cd single versions that can be ripped to mp3?

We're glad that Utopia plays Nitzer-Ebb which is very cool because that was an avante guarde band and possibly the reason for Nine Inch Nails success as Ebb was like the precursor to the whole industrial music movement... however, this is the Webkittyn Wednesday Show thread.

WK, it was a fun show. My song request for next week is that both you and gotard each pick a song from the playlist that YOU guys want to hear.

Ok... some of the things I want to hear aren't there. Some of the things that ARE there that I want to hear are too long. She gave me a 6 minute cap. I wanted to hear "Tai Kwan Leap/Boot to the head" from the Dr. Demento collection but it was like 6:02 or something like that. Being that it's a two part track where the first part is a comedy skit and the second was the song... I like odd novelty songs.

She thinks no one wants to hear what I like. I like allot of things from industrial like Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, Lords of Acid, Die Krupps, BiGod 20 and such, then I like new wave/alternative from artists like Depeche Mode, New order, Rober Palmer, Power Station, A-Ha, Go west, Sinead O'Connor, Concrete Blonde.... then I like Minneapolis and funk like Parliament and Morris Day and the Time ...then theres goth and darkwave like the Sisters of Mercy, Beborn Beton, Wolfsheim, The Church, Type O Negative and such...

I could go on. I have allot of music. as a DJ. I don't buy as much as I used too because I'm not doing steady gigs anymore what with work and demo work.

But we'll be adding more as YOU request them at the website. So get your submissions in. If I have to find something obscure from my vinyl collection, I can rip it for her from record to cd so she can play it for you.

We, the Webkittyn Collective, aim to please.`

fuba_r will try to stop in to your show to hear you play some Nitzer Ebb. it's not like fuba_r has a life, or anything... fuba_r likes mangoradio.

fuba_r thinks shutter has started a trend.

For some reason you make me have to post things here that should stay off forums but what the hell.

Why is it so hard to grok that I'm not doing the show to play songs for you. You're part of the show, you're sitting right next to me, I don't broadcast to play songs for you. But you make me look petty and that's not good juju.

Sometimes I'll play your stuff but when it's a heavy request night and you pipe in with some 8 minute song, it's not going to happen. You want to hear songs that you have readily at your fingers 7 days a week, why do you have to hear it on the show? Boot to the Head came off YOUR cd.

I am not a request nazi, I'm a nice li' webkittyn who's wondering why people who chased me off of their threads are here doing the same to mine, why the gotard is making me look like a petty person who wouldn't play a song over a 2 second time gap and why I let it bother me.

Yo! Easy there kitty! Put the claws away! I guess i should've realized where the joke that was within my reply was a tad too obscure. Yje night of the show, I searched the list for a song and that song caught my eye. Then I saw it was 2 seconds over and knowing you hate it so, I said "Damn! This one's off by 2 seconds. I guess that's out."

It was one of those "you had to be there" moments. Sometimes behind the scenes stuff is just too complicated. Sorry WK. You're not a song Nazi.
