The town hall meeting had been lonely. Chad took role call. Two were absent, so Chad entered his own vote on who to lynch, and, for several hours, counted and recounted the sole vote. Norse and mono's abstention would have meant Norseman1066 would swing. It reminded everyone of Pirates of the Caribbean 3, when Rosebud turned out to be Luke's father and the chick was really a dude gets on a plane with Victor Lazlo in Chinatown.

As Chad was about to bang the gavel and close the meeting, Norse and Mono flew in and voted to lynch Chad. This was upsetting to Chad, because he'd not yet sated his blood lust. Just before the gallows door opened, he said, "I was planning the perfect murder for tonight...and now? Now, I'll be playing Halo in the big video game console in Heaven."

With Chad lynched, Norse pulled out his tommy gun and perforated Monogodo. "Right, that's done," he said, shuffling back to his house on the edge of town. It was quiet. Everyone was dead. Norse was unsure how exactly he'd make any money off bookings and kickbacks with an empty town. More worrying was how he was going to pay up to his boss down the road in New Misfit Jersey. Perhaps he'd sleep on it. He settled on the couch and flipped on the TV. "Christ," he moaned, "Nothing on but Pirates of the Caribbean 3, back to back."

Bacony Goodness - murdered, day 1. Epitaph: "I probably should've logged in at some point to vote."
Chad - serial killer - lynched, day 2. Epitaph: "Sweet. More time to play Halo."
Deb - mafia - lynched, day 1. Epitaph: "Strewth!"
Monogodo - hit, day 2. Epitaph: "I'd rather be biking."
Norseman1066 - mafia
WebKittyn - hit, day 1. Epitaph: "I beat kidney failure but was bested by bullets."

Oh, crap, I forgot all about that. I kept thinking that the player with the first vote would swing in case of a tie.

I deliberatly left that out of my 'logic' post in hopes that neither of you 2 fellows would really dbl check me that closely. I slipped one by there and now that I have I bet I get lynched d1 everytime I play on this site for the next 6 months or so. :P

I think I understand Chad's gambit, but I'm wondering where everyone was leaning at the outset of the day?

I had no clue at the beginning of the day. I figured I was dead either way, and never even considered the both-players-die-in-case-of-a-tie rule.

Just now had the thought that had I voted norse, and he voted me, and we ended up in a 3-way tie, it would still have been a draw. Now that would have been funny.

Strangely enough I believed Mono when he posted he was the villager. That's why I quoted that post by WebKytten and voted Chad after he wouldn't remove his vote. Maybe the subtle influence of that post helped direct/push mono into voting Chad. IDK for sure but I think it sure doessn't hurt to do that.
