War of Words - similar to Scrabble and Literati and those types
of games but with a significant twist: YOU pick the letters your opponent
will use. It is also smaller in scope and plays on an 8x8 board.

Players begin by alternately giving the opponent one letter from the following
letter pool. They continue until each player has 7 letters in his/her hand. At least two must be vowels.
Letter pool
E 4
A 3
I 3
N 2
O 2
R 2
T 2
1 of everything else
1 of the following: J, V, W, or X.
1 of the following: K, Q, Y or Z.
Also written:
Letter pool (underlined letters have already been used)
A3 B C D E4 F G H I3 L M N2 O2 P R2 S T2 U JVWX KQYZ
1 point for each letter used.
+5 bonus for using all seven letters in hand.
+3 bonus for finishing first (getting rid of all letters in hand when there are
no more letters to draw from the pool).
-1 penalty for passing a turn.
Player starts by placing letters to form a word. This word may be placed anywhere
on the board. Typically, the person who takes the trouble to organize the game
(getting his/her opponent(s) together) should get the first crack. If a group plays
regularly, the start should rotate amongst the players.
As with crossword puzzles, Scrabble, Literati, words must be linked by connecting
to previous words.
At the end of your turn, give your opponent a number of letters equal to the number
he/she used in the previous turn, e.g., if he played "CAT" in the turn prior to yours,
give him three new letters. If there are more than two players, you give letters to the
opponent who played on the turn immediately prior to yours. If available, at least one
vowel must be given.
Play until (1) one player has used up every letter in his/her hand AND there are no
more letters to draw from the pool, or (2) all players have passed on consecutive turns,
e.g. if there are three players, game ends immediately if Player A passed, then Player B
passes and then Player C passes.
The code is simple. Use this code.

Every piece starts with a 'w-'
If you want an E, use w-e. If you want a J, use w-j. If you want a light square, w-light. Dark square is w-dark.
I made double letter, triple letter, double word, triple word and blank pieces in case you want
to run your own variant that's closer to a Scrabble type game. You can either make up the
values of each letter or use the standard Scrabble ones (which you can find on the Internet).
Keep score as you go.

You may find a playing board notation to be useful. Top row is A through H. Sides run from 8 on top to 1 on bottom.
You can see how this appears in the Chess game.
Those pics are:
chesstop = top row of notation
chess8l = notation 8, left border
chess8r = notation 8, right border
chess7l = notation 7, left border, and so on, etc.
