The crew gathered 'round and looked each other over, pointedly aiming their weapons at each other, with fingers on the triggers. Norse had a bad feeling about this situation. But then, he always had a bad feeling about things.

After hours of tense negotiations, the crew couldn't take it anymore, and norse was felled by a hail of bullets from multiple M-56 smart guns.

Once the smoke cleared from their barrels, they went through his rucksack, and poked through his remains, sure that they'd killed off the Alien. All they found were pictures of an Arcturian whore with a phone number written on the back. They were wrong. They'd killed Pvt. Frost.

During the night, they heard eerie skittering around the terraforming complex, but when they woke up the next morning, nothing had changed.

Day 2 begins

Has 'nothing changed' because the recruited player doesn't turn until the second day (as per the rules) or has 'nothing changed' because of a successful protection, etc.? Or are we not meant to know?

I was very persuaded by Grunter's almost-retraction of his vote for Norse. I'm not sure who I'm going with yet. I'm worried about Malfouka or Chad trying to slip under the radar. Malfouka answered that charge a little. Let's see how Chad holds up.

Dave seems to be trying mightily to set up folks to frame. He knows I'm not the Alien as I didn't jump on the Norse-train yesterday (which if I were the Alien I'd have done simply because there were so many voting Norse). Now he's after Chad for no particular reason.

There's no reason for me to do that. And there's no reason for the Mother Alien to vote on Norse's bandwagon. There's not going to be any useful voting record for the first two days because there's only one Mother Alien. I didn't vote for Norse because of something he posted. Sounded good. Sounded Town-ish. So I wasn't ready to send him to the gallows. Same with Grunter. Feel okay about WK for the moment. I'm neutral on Mal and pretty much everyone else, except Chad (who I want to at least get a whiff of the executioner's deoderant) and Jeckles who writes:

Based on Monogodo's answer to my question, we don't know if an alien tried or not. Even if the Alien succeeded, the target won't know until the end of the second day. The only reason he'd know for certain that no alien tried is if he's the alien.

Sticking with Chad for now. Ready to move to Jeckles depending on how this day goes.

Dave isn't the mother alien, I have it on reliable source! Save your vote and go in another direction before we all die. I'm torn between Malfouka and Jeckles myself. I just know its not Dave. Trust me, people. We don't want to be knocked out by a lone alien!

Right now I am willing to trust WK on the Dave vote but I am not sold on Jeckles. However, the problem I have with WK "outing" herself is that this could be a ruse and she is actually the Alien in the process of recruiting Dave....

I wouldn't make fake claims, I'd never be trusted again in this game and I kind of like making it past Day 1. Let's hope that someone protects my ass.

You mean asking him to vote me for me to start a trend of everyone else voting for me is "me" infecting him and getting him on my side? What a piss poor Alien I am then. That makes no sense. I smell something foul here ... I am no Alien. I've done nothing to signal the fact that I am. I have stayed relatively quiet and consistent. Change vote:

The Doctor can't be killed or infected by the Alien, right?

So, who is the Doctor?

Remember, the Mother Alien and infected person can't communicate until the infected turns to alien (mob) on the second day, so the Mal/Dave conspiracy doesn't hold. The infected doesn't even know he/she's been infected until the second day.

I'm going to the wall with WK on this.

The doc wants to be quiet so she is targeted by the aliens (killing them--remember, in this game Ripley is a Doc/Survivalist combo)...on the other hand, I'm working on a scenario in which it might be beneficial NOT to do that...the problem is it would require a lot of trust on the Townie's part, which may not be forthcoming.

Okay, explain this. I am unclear as to what this Ripley character can and can't do.
