Okay, all you Mahjonggers, what's the secret to your high scores? I've played this game over and over and can't get even a 10th of the scores you folks get.

Don't waste time looking for pairs if they aren't obvious. Click shuffle, and select the first option (the one that simply shuffles the existing tiles). When you get down to a 10-12 pairs left, shuffle more often, so as to get the ones stuck underneath or between out to the edges.
Whatever you do, make sure you don't end up with two tiles stacked on top of each other, you'll never get them. By clearing a board, you get 5000 bonus points (I think it's 5000). Also, don't be afraid to reshuffle with a different layout at the start of a layout if you don't like the one they give you.

I can't seem to make any headway. It frustrates me to no end. But thanks for the help, I thinks it's made a teeny tiny bit of difference.

A Jewish grandmother.
My grandmother had this gorgeous ivory set and every weekend in the summer she would spend the entire day with the other crones playing and maaaaaaaan, did those tiles FLY. I spent many many many days completely fascinated.
monogodo, one of these days I'll catch you again!

See, that's what bugs me---the quick hand-eye coordination thing. I'm generally exceptional, but for some reason I can't do it on this particular game....
Hi, my name is malfouka and I am a Master Qwan's Mahjongg loser.
