Day 3 ends.

The town wasn't doing very well. They'd had 2 lynchings and had strung up two of their own. Add in hits by the Republic of Texas and their own one-shot vigilantism, and things weren't looking too good for them. They still had a chance, though, if they could move beyond the paranoia and target the right person.

Alas, 'twas not to be.

After school got out, Adam was waiting for Otto & Bacon by the gallows. Otto talked in circles, but was unable to convince them that he should be saved. So they strung him up.

Bacon was quiet on the walk over to Otto's place. Adam simply scowled, not really caring what happened next.

The investigation didn't take long. They found a single book on Otto's desk: Doctoring for Dummiestm. They'd killed the doc.

Adam then knew it was over: Bacon was a member of the Republic of Texas. The town had lost. At least his one shot in the night had been correct.

Results:
  • Adam - Misfit
  • Bacon - Republic of Texas
  • Chad - Republic of Texas, Dead Day 1. Vigilante Hit. (Epitaph: TBD)
  • Deb - Misfit, Dead Day 1. Republic of Texas Hit. (Epitaph: Go fuck yourselves, haters, you were wrong.)
  • malfouka - Misfit, Lynched Day 2. (Epitaph: TBD)
  • mango - Misfit, Dead Day 2. Republic of Texas Hit. (Epitaph: TBD)
  • McAwesome - Misfit Texas Ranger, Lynched Day 1. (Epitaph: The good die young.)
  • Otto von Bizmark - Doctor, Lynched Day 3. (Epitaph: TBD)

No.

Oh well, Otto deserved to die for being a shitty doctor.

Actually, he protected you at the end of Day 2, which saved you from getting shot by a vigilante.

---------------

Looking back on the whole game, I'm surprised it took as long as it did. It was almost over at the end of Day 1. I had Vigilante hit orders that would have taken out both Chad & Bacon, who had chosen to take out Otto. Then the vigilante who was targeting Bacon withdrew the hit, and Chad & Bacon chose to take out Deb instead.

I'm also surprised that only one vigilante hit was made.

Blast. I thought Adam's argument against Mal was good. After Deb was hit by the mob, I was certain Mal was mafia. I thought the game would've been over on day 2.

I'm curious about the mob's decision to kill Mango on day 2. Once I was killed, it should've been fairly obvious that I was, in fact, the cop. In my opinion, the doc should've protected mango; the mob should've known this; mob should've targeted someone else. The way it worked out, if the doc had protected mango, adam would've been killed by a vigilante, the mob would've hit either adam or otto. If they hit the latter, the game would've ended in the mob's favor at day 2.

I should've fucking shot bacon like I wanted to at the end of day 1.

I don't know why I changed my mind.

I was also the one who attempted to shoot Adam (in case he was wrong about Mal)

Speaking of Adam, I think he did an excellent job of controlling the game. It shows what you can do when you post in the game thread regularly.

Dave,

I'm sure you now understand the context of all the questions I was asking you about gameplay. I did my best to word them as neutrally as possible, so as to not give anything away to you. Until the target switch/cancellation on Day 1, I thought my tenure as GM was going to be short.

You may want to make a note of this in the future...people only listen to me when I'm wrong (see last game's lynching of Shutter). At least I was right about Chad.

I'm going to be the most sour faced bitch ever for the next game.

I can't believe I was almost lynched because I was happy :(

i think that things could've gone much smoother had Adam and i not been involved in the clash of the egos...

as for my not following through with "evidence," i figured that nothing would sway the vote so why waste a valuable tactic (like Kenny Rodgers says, "you gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em...").

Out of curiosity, what evidence did you have?

My vote can ALWAYS be swayed. I was practically begging someone to come up with something else. You just mostly accused me and I knew that wasn't the answer. That was the problem.

i was in the SAME position. i didn't actually think you were Mafia (after my initial accusation) but couldn't get any decent arguments out of anyone.
