that doctor save is trouble

short term:
as i mentioned in the other post, can we frame someone, like Meathe or WK? I don't think we can survive a day 2 mob lynching.

long term:
Personally, I think we're screwed. I'm worried that Adam is going to lead a campaign against either me or Monogodo. If he gets one of us lynched, it won't take long to figure out the rest. Once one of us mob is outed, the Day 1 voting record will be pretty damning. I'm guessing mono or I was investigated on day two. I have a sick feeling that Adam is the cop and as one of you mentioned in an earlier post: his underdog spiel wins over a lot of cred. Mal as the godfather needs to distance herself from the rest of us.

Destroying Adam's cred:
Look, this is possible. Logically, it's easy to tear down any prognosticator. Most so-called clairvoyants make shotgun guesses and then champion the one or two that worked out. Look at the previous games. He makes a lot of hay about the predictions he correctly guessed. He keeps quiet on the ones he missed.

Let's also not forget his prognostication time while he was a mobster. We need to convince the others that Nostradamus is trying to mislead them.

Mono, if you are targeted, I think you should consider claiming you really ARE the cop. Your reason? Now you KNOW the doctor is in play. Ask the doctor to protect you for the duration of the game because then 'those stupid mafia' have to play target practice with the rest of the town to try to nail the doc.

Meathe is already at 2 votes. I could wander in and play dumb again and claim to be 'going with the flow' since I'm still new and don't know any better and vote to lynch Meathe.

So mono can just openly claim to be the cop in the game thread? Wouldn't that cause the real cop to come out and call bullshit?

Yes. MG claiming cop would guarantee one vote against him. Then it becomes a force of wills as to whether or not we can convince the rest to vote our way. For this reason, I kinda hope Adam really is the cop.

If it gets real bad, mono can say that he's investigated me and that I'm a mobster.

WK voting for Meathe was a pleasant surprise. That could buy us a lot of time and a wasted cop investigation.

Not Illuminati:
WK. Switching her vote from Shutter to Jeckles at the very last minute. She could've voted for Mono and lynched him. Instead, she piled on Jeckles. On Day 3, we can use that info to paint her as a mobster who switched her vote to the person who was going to be lynched anyway.

Also, we need to assume that Jeckles passed on his opinion about the identities of the mafia to the remaining Illuminati. That person is probably going to side with the real cop against MG. What does that mean? It means us four plus Deb, WK and Meathe are prime suspects for Mafia.

Mafia targets for killing should be: Bacon, Otto, Shutter (because, in my opinion, we should keep the possible suspects alive for lynching)

Just my thoughts. Not intended to sound like: "Hey! We need to do this! Or else!"

How does the investigate thing work? The cop tells the game leader that he wants to investigate someone, and at the end of that day the game leader has to tell him what faction that person is?

no, we should not whack Shutter. i'd love to hit Adam---what do you think the chances are of the Doc protecting him twice in a row? however, it may be better to keep Adam around as a potential lynch target.

the Cop has a "free" investigation the first day of gameplay. she PM's the game leader with the message: i wish to investigate _________. the game leader responds with either a "innocent" or "guilty" reply (innocent if the investigatee is a townsperson, the Traitor, or the Godfather. Guilty if a mobster).

after that, the Cop PM's the game leader before the end of each GAME day with the name of the player she wishes to investigate.

the Cop is given no information other than guilty or innocent.
