Day #1 is finished.

After much deliberation, confusion and the ghost of Mango yelling at them, an angry mob was assembled. Shortly after noon the lynch mob headed towards the sounds of "All along the watchtower" and proceeded to Jeckles unabomber shack just outside of town.

A defiant Jeckles was waiting for them. Middle finger high in the air, Shitty Blog Radio coffee mug in hand, Jeckles shouted "Fuck you guys. I hate this town!"

His protests fell on deaf ears. The misfits were here for a lynching. With nooses (niece?) in hand, the town hung Jeckles from the most bitter tree in his front yard. Mission accomplished, Jeckles was lynched.

As the town headed inside to search Jeckles' shack, a crying Shutter was heard mumbling something about baby jesus.

Looking around the townies found nothing. No coffee, no mafia journal, no rifle, no Big Book o' Hate, no badge, no... anything. There was just a shitty radio and a handwritten note saying "Fuck you guys. I told you I wasn't mafia."

The town looked around, and headed back to their homes. As they headed towards the door, one of the misfits turned off the radio, and turned out the lights.

Scrawled along the wall in glow in the dark ink was the image of a giant unblinking eye and a half assed map claiming to know the location of the Templar's treasure.

Was Jeckles illuminati? It would appear so. But where was the dungeon? And who else is involved? They probably should've tried to beat it out of him before hanging him.

"Wait, I'm confused. Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?" one townie asked.
"A good thing. I think." another one answered "Both the mafia and the illuminati are out to get us."

Mildly satisfied, the misfits headed home for a sound night of sleep. As any Misfitopian knows, sleep is often interrupted by gunfire.

Gunfire never came.

Later that morning a dead horse head, a silencer and a trail of blood was found in the town square. Yet, no one was dead. Given the events that transpired the previous day, no one was talking either.

Sweet. Been waiting for this all day (yeah, sucky sunday for me...shut up)...anyway:

Good. That should neuter the Illuminati.

I found some of the day 1 votes highly suspicious. Meathe's vote to put Monogodo at 5 while Jeckles had 5? Pointless. Jeckles already had the lynching tie-breaker. If MG is mafia, Meathe's vote was a "hey, I'm mob too, let me make a vote against a fellow mobster that won't actually get him lynched." Yes, I know there were still 24 hours left to vote, but on a sunday?

WK's last minute change to vote for Jeckles who already had the tie-breaker? Also suspicious.

I'm tempted to vote for MG and get him out. Don't want to let Otto fly under the radar like he has in way too many games. If MG wasn't mafia, Meathe's vote was "hey, I'm a mafia and I want to make sure my vote doesn't go along with the lynched-to-be."

For now:
Vote to lynch: Meathe

Meathe 1
Autobots, roll out.

I was thinking sort of the same thing except a lot less evolved.

I know Meathe. I know when Meathe seems wonky.

Meathe seems wonky. Monogodo also seems wonky but the Meathe radar is sounding. I have nothing to back it other than that itchy feeling.

Meathe. You are my hero, guru, Seal of Fortune and very best friend but you have an aura of mobster about you this round.

My change of vote wasn't anything to be suspicious of. I'd rather not waste a vote and Shutter was safe. I also had no reason to vote Shutter except he was the new guy. It was either Jeckles or monogodo.

Vote to lynch Meathe.

Current Tally:

Meathe: 2

Mal's vote day 1 (emphasis added by me)

Quote

everyone seems to be acting oddly this time around and although i have strong suspicions about 3 (maybe four) folks, only one can be chosen. though i don't like to think it (because i luv him so), i believe Jeckles is Mafia. my reasoning is simple: Jeckles has been exceedingly vocal lately---especially in regards to dogged pronouncements of others' guilt. i may be wrong, but something is definitely up with the J-man.

The last time Mal got this sentimental over a vote in this stupid little game was during the first game when she voted for me. It made me think she was mafioso then. It makes me think the same thing this time.

Vote to lynch Mal

Current Tally:

Meathe: 2
Mal: 1

I like WK's reasoning for Meathe though also. If anyone would know if he was acting odd, it would be her. Still not crazy about Shutter or Monogodo either. I don't think we would go wrong lynching any of them.

I think I'm getting the hang of this now. Looking at the way everyone voted you can kind of pick apart peoples reasoning. I should have got in on this game a while ago.

McOptimus makes a good point about Meathe. Then WK comes out and points the spot light on him as well. I can kinda see what they mean.

I vote to lynch Meathe, that robot building mafia bastard.

Meathe- 3
Mal-1
Shutter- 1

I can unvote someone later on as long as it's before the end of the 'game day' right?

I'll have to read over past threads to see how everyone is acting.

It really fucks with me when Jeckles makes me feel bad for voting for him only to find out the SOB was not a townie after all.

I can't fucking sleep at night :(

Wonky?

I voted for Monogodo last round because after reading everything, it Mono seemed most likely to be mafia.

We know that Jeckles wasn't a townie either, but wasn't mafia.

I still think Mono is most likely mafia.

I don't quite follow Dave's reasoning. Tie breaker? People can always change their votes before someone swings, cast votes can be recast. Until the day ends, anyone can break a deadlock.

"If MG is mafia, Meathe's vote was a "hey, I'm mob too, let me make a vote against a fellow mobster that won't actually get him lynched.""

I don't quite follow the logic. It was simply me saying "I think we should lynch Monogodo, he seems to me to be most likely mafia". He also had near enough votes to take a good hard lynching.

"Yes, I know there were still 24 hours left to vote, but on a sunday?"

I voted when I did because it was simply the first time I actually got on the net since Thursday afternoon, and there was quite a backlog of posts to work through (I spent the weekend in Canada, eh).

Still voting for Mono at this point, subject to change

I wish that the Cop or theorist could shed some light on how the investigation was going.

BG- I had to play the new guy card because I'm the new guy. Duh

McChicken Nugget "Dave" is really quick to throw that rope around Meathe.

But he Voted to let the Jeckles Hang also. If I had a voted to let Jeckles hang by his neck till he was dead I would want every one I could get to stand with me. Even if it was a non counting vote.

But what the fuck do I know. Nothing.

Vote still to come!

Meathe is explaining in short sentence bursts. Odd indeed...

I read down, thinking that maybe he was trying to tell us something important, but all I got was wiwiiiiyis and that didn't help me at all.

Vote to lynch: Meathe

I'd like to say that rushing an innocent to the gallows is not going to help
anyone. Dave has trumped up another streetwise suggestion and the
misfitopian townsfolk are swallowing it hook, line and sinker. I'd like to say
never before have I seen such a display, but sadly, the Illuminati and Mafia
often steer voting in such ways, turning townsfolk on townsfolk, whilst allowing
the ones that truly should be lynched to escape and rejoyce with tremendous
Machiavalian glee. You should look carefully at those who are swinging the votes,
as they're often the ones who should swing in the breeze. With nefarious suggestions,
fairness is always the first casualty in these power plays. Those that work
in the shadows rejoyce in the fall of one who doesn't need to be imprisoned or
assassinated. Please reconsider wasting your votes.

What exactly is the difference between starting each line of your post so that it reads "i am not mafia" and just saying "i am not mafia?" I think you totally are, by the way.

Er... Deb started it with the wysiwyg comment.

Its rather a catch 22 for me. Everyone not being lynched is shutting the hell up and jumping on the Lynch the Seal bandwagon. No need to risk exposure with a scapegoat on the hook.

If I protest, I protest too much.
If I don't, the gallows await.

Regardless, you'll all soon see you've missed the mark.

May I, at least, have a last martini?
