He is trying play the cop just like last game. Except this time, he is not.

I know this because, first of all I am not Mafia, yet he accuses me of it. But more importantly, by posing as the cop he opens himself to a mafia hit. And in this version there is no guarantee that there is a doctor. Monogodo is too smart to open himself up to a hit like that. Therefore he must be mafia.

I don't think metamorphing will help.

What I mean is as follows:

Dave's primary intent of the game is to spur conversation. The actual game itself is secondary.
If everyone just put a four word post "vote to lynch x" and waited until the end of the day, it would be a boring (albeit faster moving) game.

It's true that you can vote anyway, and in any method you'd like.

If you want people to like you, or if you want the game to be more interesting, try to give some reason (even if it's wholly far fetched) as to why you are voting to lynch someone.

Think of it like court. you make an argument, someone else cross examines, and then the entire town is the jury.

Trust me, it'll be more entertaining.

1. Maybe I am the Cop and I misinterpreted the character listings to mean that there was 0-1 Mob Doctor, so I didn't even give a thought to the fact that there might not be a Misfit Doctor. (I'd swear I saw two Doctor listings up there.)
2. Maybe I'm the Conspiracy Theorist. Conspiracy Theorists examine evidence, too. The way the vote is swinging does make me think there are people out to get me.
3. Maybe I'm a regular Misfit who is trying to look like he's the Traitor so that the Mob doesn't take out a hit on me tonight.
4. Maybe I'm Mafia and I've fucked up royally.
5. Maybe I'm Illuminati, but I can't talk about that and live, so forget I said anything.

So, consider this a friendly reminder/warning...

Any illuminati (from here on forward) that directly/indirectly hint at their membership will be struck down by the game leader.

*Not necessarily directed at monogodo... but since this is an Eye of the Illuminati game, illuminati are important.

Mango, I reread the rules I wrote for Conspiracy Theorist and I've realized that they're not 100 percent clear. I'll rewrite them this weekend. For now I have to clarify three important points:

1. ANY holder of the Skeleton Key may give it to another player. The CT starts with it. The key does not HAVE to be given to anybody.
2. The skeleton key cannot be given to a person already in the dungeon.
3. The skeleton key can only be used to free the holder from prison. In other words, if the Illuminati try to imprison Mango and Mango holds the key, then the Illuminati's action fails.

Yes, I figured as much.

As soon as conspiracy theorist gave it away, I was planning on PM'ing the receiver to let them know they can give it to anyone they wanted.

Also, I want to change Illuminati rules (this time if possible) next time to allow them to imprison ONE person at ANY time, rather than when illuminati = townspeople. The math in my head says that when townspeople = Illuminati, illuminati already win.

Not necessarily. If Illuminati = townspeople but there are the same number of mafia as illuminati, then the mafia win. The condition as I originally wrote it was "when illuminati = number of other players" which might be: 2 illuminati, 1 mafia, 1 townie (which is a fascinating endgame scenario because the townie HAS to get an illuminati lynched that day even if he knows who the mafia is PLUS he has to hope the illuminati imprison the mobster)

I concede, however, that it's probably too limiting. Let the Illuminati imprison anytime after the first full day. (this gives me an idea for another variant)

The imprisonment takes place AFTER lynching (of course) but BEFORE any killings of the day are handled. If the Surivalist is targeted: The Survivalist, if he still has a bullet, kills the illuminati who posted the imprisonment order in the Illuminati forum.
