Misfitopia Forum Olympics I

Chad is gathering his Transformers forum to join us for an arcade olympics at Misfitopia. Since Chad is leading the invading enemy, we are mustering teams of 5 players to wage arcade war.
The 10 events are:
bumper karts
chain letters
dolphin olympics
hellbound
mahjongg
pacman
plankton's revenge pinball
tetris
tower blaster
winter bells
Sign up below if you're interested. I guess I have to be the jerk who picks 5 applicants for the team (assuming there are more than 5 aspirants). The olympics tentatively start next week.

1. Do we get to pick what games we play? Some of those games I really couldn't give a shit about.
2. What kind of time constraints will we be under? I work two jobs, I'm not made of free time ya know.

1. Adam
2. Monogodo
3. Webkittyn
4. Mango
5. either Dave, the Gman, or Severin. (personally my vote is for Severin because he is a gaming genius and you all would be lucky to get an 11 year old on the team--especially considering he is the only one who grew up playing only computer games--none of those pesky joysticks...). true, he wouldn't be stellar in the "word" type games but fuck! this is against Transformers folks....

Adam,
1. You don't have to play every game, But will your arcade-induced OCD allow such a thing?
2. The length of the competition will be one week. That should give everyone enough time.

Is it play until you get a high score you are happy with, or a one shot deal?
Chad is going to own us in dolphin olympics. I hate that game.
Well I made a deal with Dave, since you guys have Adam then Dolphin Olympics needs to be in so we can at least have a shot of winning one of the games

Scoring:
Like the Olympics, individual players earn medals. Medals are then tallied for each team.
Gold medals are worth 5 points, silver 3, bronze 1.
Since we're scoring individually, it's possible for one team to sweep an event.
we only count the scores of the olympic contestants. for example...
adam scores a first place score, a random misfit scores second, some transformer fan scores in third. adam gets 1st place points and transformer fan gets 2nd place points. Random players don't count.
