Misfit Mafia #1 is in the books. Congrats Mango and Malfouka who led the mafia takeover of the Town.
The question is: shall we play again and make this a regular forum event?
Personally, I'd like to. Even if it means I have to host the game a few more times to get all the kinks out.
Although I envision most of the games to be Mafia vs. Town, there are a host of alternate rules useful for larger games. Plus, the theme can be different too. Town vs. Werewolves, Town vs. Yuppies, etc.
I wrote up some alternate rules for game 2, if anyone's still interested. The theme is: Jedi vs. Sith.

Recap of #1:
The first lynch vote was fascinating to watch as a bystander. The Town lynched the person with fewest posts first (posts equal social clout in a forum, and poor Natus got toasted...which is funny because that guy is a veteran of Diplomacy and probably could've helped the Townies out had he lived). The abject paranoia of day 1 was, for lack of a better word, awesome.
Mango and Malfouka had a good idea of who to axe from the get go, but Adam uncannily protected two Townies in a row. WK kept getting 'innocent' results which helped her narrow down who were the likely baddies, but the Town was not easily persuaded. Other than day 1, there were not any unvotes.
The voting record (don't expect me to do this every game...the Townies should consider looking at voting patterns as part of their strategy) is as follows. An (n) means the player was nominated by that vote. A / indicates an unvote.
...............Day1.........................2.........3
Malfouka...Adam........................Gru....Deb(n)
Mango......Natus/Adam/Natus....Gru.....Deb
Adam.......Natus(n)...................Mal......BG
WK..........Natus........................Mal......BG (n)
Deb.........Natus........................Gru(n).....BG
BG...........Natus........................Gru.......Deb
Grunt.......Natus........................Mal
Natus.......Adam

Anyway, if you're interested, sign up below for Game #2. The theme is: Jedi vs. Sith.

I didn't want to play the first game because I wasn't planning on being around a computer. However, after being told I was in and I had to vote I kind of started to enjoy it. I am in for game #2.
But I was going to Tashi Station to pick up some power converters.

We'll start shortly.
Mal, I'd like to run this one because it's the first using my slightly altered rules. Can I take you up on your offer to lead game #3? I'd like to play at least once. You can pick the theme of the game, of course.
