There is trouble in Misfitopia Village. The Mafia is muscling in. Will the townspeople save their village by lynching the suspected parties? Or will the Mafia knock them off one by one.

It would seem to me that if we knock out the mafiosi, then we all win, yes? The others seem to be playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure, which is a common mistake.

I'm not a big fan of "we all win".

It's like playing basketball with retarded kids and not keeping score so nobody feels bad.

I was just curious to see how others viewed the competition.

Well, the game is based on Werewolf http://www.boardgame....com/game/25821 and is a co-operative game, more and more of which are being made nowadays, because I guess people like playing with retarded kids. I'm certainly getting that vibe in here. But I'm sure McAwesome has some other fiendish games up his sleeves which aren't so warm and fuzzy.

It's hard to apply logic other than "He who smelt it dealt it" on Day 1. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

I figure if Adam doesn't get whacked by the mob on the first day, he's likely in on it.

It's nothing personal Natus. Knowing Dave's perverted sense of justice, he'll either make a regular or a complete stranger one of the bad guys. In this case, it's safer to be with the lynch mob.

I thought it was to stamp out the mafia.

It's common knowledge amongst the mafia that women are to be ignored and are considered chattels. Hell, I've watched the Sopranos. Natus called me a boy and I don't care how new or old you are, call me a boy and you're heading for all kinds of trouble. Same as people who PM me and try to extort me and my ducat stash with idle threats..

Back to the lynch mob, Natus is mafia. I can feel it in my linguini.

Kill the beast!!! *waves torch and pitchfork*

Brilliant! I guess I won't be Homecoming King this year.

No argument, debate, deduction, due process....nothing. Am I the only Misfit, or is everyone else trying to lose?

Well, all, I'm stomping off elsewhere and taking my snark with me. Enjoy the Colombian bow ties and the cement over-shoes. When I want a good gang-bang, I'll know where to come.

Toodles!

You might remember, a while ago you were done a favor by our... how shall I put this... mafia crime syndicate.

At dusk, the Townspeople lit their torches, pulled Natus from the dais in Town Hall and presented him with the 'key to the city.' In this town, they greet people with a noose. It's worse than 19th century Oklahoma.

Once the body stopped twitching, the Townspeople rushed to Natus' home and ransacked his belongings. The most incriminating thing they found was an off-Broadway adaptation for Saw, the Musical, starring Matthew Broderick. The town may have lost its fall theatre schedule, but they've gained a headstone. All the world's a gallows.

The next morning, the Misfits woke up uneasily. They had just lynched one of their own, and they'd heard gunshots during the night. There was no body to be found, however. Perhaps someone had intervened to foil the Mob's plans.

"Oh well, another day, another lynching," they cried cheerfully, clapping each other's backs.

Malfouka
Natus (misfit, lynched day 1, epitaph: "Gnaw on my bones, jackals!")
TheGrunter
Bacony Goodness

Day 2 begins and will extend through the weekend. Will probably end Tuesday morning unless everyone's real fast on the draw with their lynch votes.

(Natus, far be it from me to disagree with your voluminous game knowledge, but as far as I was able to research, the original dinner table game was Mafia. The author, Dimitry Davidoff, is cited in the original Werewolf game. Here's the archive of Davidoff's original website.)

I received the following PM from "Fat Tony"...

"Your homoerotic desires may work on the misfits, but if I have to go down, I'm taking you with me."

I think stomping out the mafia is the point of the game and we did exactly that.

okay, so we lynched Natus. we can surmise he wasn't mafia as the Head Idiot stated, "They had just lynched one of their own...". so was he a regular misfit or one with superpowers? is this going to be revealed?

aside to Mr's. Tony and Hutt: threaten all you want boys, i've got a death ray and i know how to use it!

I don't care who you sleep with, Adam. I still think you're an okay guy

He's too quiet. He flies underneath the radar and tries not to bring attention to himself.

Surely a Misfit would be more vehement in their arguments and reasons to wipe the Mafia scourge off the face of Misfitopia and I'm just not feeling it...

Vote to lynch Mal

I love Mal like a play cousin, but someone as smart as her being swayed so quickly by the likes of Natus just doesn't add up. I get the feeling she jumped on board with his plan to hide the fact that SHE is a mobster. Now THAT would be smart. Let the peons do your dirty work while you sit back and drink champagne. Yes, smart...but not smart enough. :skull:
