Pokemon Go

Cynthia & I have been playing Pokemon Go for a few weeks. We're both up to Level 20 now.

It's been very helpful with getting us out of the house and walking. We don't mind being outside in the 95+ temperatures when playing the game.

The recent changes by Niantic (removing the footsteps, etc.) haven't bothered us, or at least they haven't bothered me.

We're currently both Level 22, just shy of 23 (I'm 6617 XP away, she's a bit more).

I've caught/hatched 93 different ones, and have seen two additional ones.

I don't have hard data to back this up, but it "felt" like the capture rate dropped between 22 & 23.

Anything particularly common or rare?

E.g. I haven't even seen a chancey, snorlax, lapeas, or muck/grimer. On the other hand, I found a park where Charmander is as common as a pidgey.

We have a few places that are spawn points for various pokemon.

Other than the usual Pidgey, Rattata, Caterpie, & Weedle, of course.

Downtown Fort Worth is rotten with Zubats.

There's a mad-made lake in North Irving that is great for Magikarp & Psyducks.

We found a couple of places for Charmanders.

Last night Cynthia saw a Snorlax on the Sightings list, but it never appeared.

And yeah, the capture rate between 22 & 23 did seem to be particularly low. We both just leveled up to 23 yesterday, and I seem to be catching more things that I run across.
