We stayed in. Watched a couple of movies, Weird Science & Flash Gordon (1980). Had cocktail weenies & chips & dip & Nutter Butter Doublestuffs. I had a beer & mimosa, Cynthia had a Pina Colada & two mimosas. We watched the fireworks in Victory Plaza, then called the police on our neighbors & went to bed.

Watched two idiots fight in a restaurant. I wasn't one of the idiots. It was not a good fight.

I spent New Years Eve working as a cocktail waitress in a Mexican bar in the great Central Valley of California. It was my first night. With zero training. I'd never waitressed in my life. Fortunately, I'm smart. And wore a really short skirt. All I can say is that speaking French will get you laid, but Spanish (at least in the west) will get you better tips.
