Two weeks ago, with Cutler out, the Bears (and dunderheaded Mike Martz) had backup Hanie throwing all over the field. Line up and give the ball to Forte 30 times. Give it to Barber 15-20 times. Then call it a game. Instead Forte got it 12 times. Hanie threw 36 passes. The Bears lost. Stupid.
Now Forte's out and the only reason the Bears still have a shot at the playoffs is because the Lions and Giants can't put games away.
At 7-5, the Jets are fighting for the last playoff spot, and again, despite winning their last two, they just don't look like a strong team. Kansas City, Eagles, Giants and Miami are all winnable games, but so was the Bronco game three weeks ago. Even if they make it, this team will go nowhere in the playoffs.
Oakland, Kansas City, a beat-up Bears team and Detroit are all that's left for Green Bay. Detroit will probably need that last game to get into the playoffs unless the Giants and Bears really nose-dive (which is possible). Losing Suh to suspension hurts. New Orleans has the best chance to beat them in the playoffs. I don't think the 49ers have enough offense to keep up--they'd need some turnovers.

Where were you a couple of weeks ago when my pathetic team beat your pathetic team?
You know, I take back what I said about the Saints last week. I forgot that if they play the Packers it will be in Lambeau. No turf. Saints don't do grass.
No word on Jim Leonhard's injury yet, but it looked like a knee. So the Jets' defense just got worse. They are the worst looking 8-5 team. Except for the Broncos. I don't get the Broncos. This is another case where stats don't tell you anything in the NFL. They are -4 in the plus/minus turnovers. Defense is better than average sacks per game but below average yards per game in passing and rushing. But if you watch their games, their defense is the thing keeping them in games, making big stops, giving their offense a shot to move the ball once in the fourth quarter. The Raiders blew their shot at the division two weeks ago against Miami (more accurately, even earlier when Darren McFadden went down).
Giants host Redskins, at (?) Jets, host Cowboys. Basically 3 home games. Dallas is at Tampa, hosting Philly, at Giants. That alone should give the Giants the division.

Between OSU and the Bills, it's been quite the football year.
