So wow. Been distracted by the Penn State scandalpocalypse. (Somethingpocalypse is now a cliche, huh? Thanks a lot, blogging hacks.)
Joe Paterno fired an hour ago by Penn State's board of trustees. Unanimously. University president gone too.
What to say? When you are confronted with a difficult decision in life, don't pull a Paterno.
On to happier things, like the Jets playing solid D for the first time in a long, long time. Good win, but not as good as the injured Giants taking down the Patriots. I only saw the highlights; I wish I had recorded that game.
You know what? I got nuthin. Been a little obsessed over the Paterno thing.

Oh boy. A few of them, from what I read. Apparently Joepa was an accomplished coach as well. That's too bad because this is what he'll be remembered for before anything else now. Or he'll be the next Pope.

The year went to hell for me in the off season, with THE Jim Tressel, NFL lookout, NBA lockout, the damn Detroit Tigers, etc, etc..
Although the Urban Meyer hiring is taking some of the edge off, I'm still a little disgusted with the whole year.
