Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar has been on the shelf since losing the title to Cain Velasquez back in Oct. 2010 thanks to a second bout of the deadly intestinal disease, diverticulitis.
Shortly thereafter, Lesnar had surgery to have a whopping 12 inches of his colon removed. He's now officially "back" and ready to get back down to the business of doing the two things he loves best:
1. Fighting.
2. Tracking down live animals and killing them.
He'll attend to the former on Dec. 30 when he battles Alistair Overeem in a heavyweight match-up of massive proportions at UFC 141 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I don't know anything about Overeem. Wikipedia has this to say about him ...

Alistair Cees Overeem (born on May 17, 1980) is a British born Dutch mixed martial artist and kickboxer, signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is the former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion, Dream Interim Heavyweight Champion, K-1 World Grand Prix Champion, and made history by being the only fighter in combat sports to hold a world title in both MMA and K-1 kickboxing at the same time. As of November 2010, Overeem is ranked as the #3 best heavyweight mixed martial artist in the world by Sherdog, #3 by MMAWeekly, #3 by Yahoo! Sports and #2 by FightMagazine.com.
His MMA record is 35-11. He has some wins over a few noteworthy people, and most of his losses are to legitimate fighters like Antônio Rogério Nogueira and Chuck Liddell to name a couple. I found a few of his better fights posted online and this fight seems to have great potential. One of the things I really like about Lesnar is that he is a true heavyweight in a weight class where most of his opponents aren't. Overeem is 6' 5" and 260 lbs. Both of these guys have knockout power on par with a semi-truck. I refuse to pay $45 for a Pay-Per-View no matter what the event is so I'll be "bargain shopping" for the video online the next day. But if I paid that kind of money for stuff like this I would totally do it for Lesnar vs Overeem.
