Friday night we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner, then headed over to Lakewood Landing to have drinks with a friend for his birthday. Since we were both exhausted, we had one drink each, then headed home and crashed for the night, around 10 pm.
Cynthia woke me up at 1am. She was in excruciating pain, and needed me to get her some Doans Pills and a muscle relaxer. I rubbed her back for a bit, then tried to sleep. It was impossible to do so. She kept writhing in agony, keeping me up. She got up two more times to take muscle relaxers to try to get some relief. She took a total of 4 between 1 and 4 am. She finally found relief after that.
She had a haircut appointment at 8:30, and I had to go in to work. When we got up at 7am, she was too loopy to drive, so she texted her stylist to see if she could reschedule. Since there was nothing I could do, I went in to work, expecting to have to be there until 5pm. Cynthia was finally able to sleep after I left, while I got hopped up on caffeine and Red Bull.
I finished up early at work at 12:15, and came home. Cynthia got dressed, and we headed out for lunch. We ate at Chicken Express, then went clothes shopping for her. She's lost 40lbs in the last few months, and her work clothes don't fit any more. Then I dropped her off at the salon for her 4:30 rescheduled appointment and headed over to a local bike shop and chatted with a friend I hadn't seen in years.
After picking her up, we headed up to Addison to the Flying Saucer for a tweetup. Drank a few beers and chatted with friends about all kinds of shit. We stopped off at a Target on the way home and picked up some groceries & cleaning supplies.
Sunday we got up and cleaned. I vacuumed the loft, cleaned the tub and toilet, did the dishes and started laundry. She made the bed, cleaned the counters & dusted. We then got cleaned up and headed to the State Fair of Texas.
At the Fair, we had brats w/ kraut, Texas Fried Frito Chili Pie, Fried Chocolate, and Fried Beer. We checked out the auto show, and the rabbit pens, then headed home. We took a short nap, then I headed down to the club room for dinner with the CARES team. I learned all kinds of gossip about the building, which I'll post about later.
After dinner, I came home & watched the last half or so of the SNF game, then headed to bed, where sex was had with the wife.
