I saw Iron Man 2 a few days ago, and it was not crap. That being said, I have never read the comics and know nothing of the original story or characters outside of the rebooted franchise. I don't think it was as good as the first one, but most sequels aren't. It was worth seeing in theaters for sure. I think the action was better in part 2, but the story was better in part 1.
Tiny spoiler ahead ...
Easily the best part of the movie is when he gets drunk at his birthday party and pees in the Iron Man suit. Good times. Not crap.

It would be great if they up and merged Iron Man with one of Robert Downey Jr.'s earlier characters. I call it Iron Man 3: Less than Zero. You know the scene I'm talking about.

Yeah... I'd say not crap as well. Not great, but not crap. I agree it's not as good as the first. I liked the action though. A superhero movie has to have visually pleasing scense in it. That laser thing he busted out when fighting the drones was pretty cool. I don't know... Overall not bad.

I'm always at least a year behind in current movies. Damn it.
I liked the Iron Man v. Don Cheedle, but mostly because I'll watch anything that involves beating up Don Cheedle. The final battle was weak. I didn't even know it was the end until Mickey Rourke died. It kinda puzzled me. I thought, "well, now who are they going to fight the rest of the movie?" but there was no more movie. Bummer. I'm just glad Jon Favreau isn't directing The Avengers.

I voted crap because I've attempted to watch it 3 freaken times and I've fallen asleep every time.
Those of you who know me, know that something has to be REALLY BAD to make me sleep each and every time I try to watch it. Twice, I even attempted to view it during the day when I'm not tired, and I still slept.
