hi

1. What do you think he would be doing? Would he be a TV preacher wearing a Rolex, driving a Bentley and living in a million dollar home? Or would he be living modestly as a Jewish rabbi?

2. What do you think his opinion would be of the mess we've made out of the world - not spiritually, but such things as environmentally, socially and the like?

3. Would he be condemned as a long-haired freak wearing sandals and speaking radical thoughts?

4. Would he be running for President?

And just for fun - let's make the assumption he lives in the United States.

I would like to have intelligent, well-thought-out responses and NOT a bunch of Bible-thumping from the evangelicals. If you want to engage in Bible-beating, do it in the Discussion section. I don't care if you're a Christian or atheist, feel free to answer as long as you refrain from preaching. There is no correct answer or answer that I expect.

He chose a life of poverty the first time around. I read that the second time will be a little different.

I think He knew early on that we would ruin just about everything we got our hands on. He's been planning a return trip here since the very beginning so He can set right all the things He knew we would get wrong.

History does tend to repeat itself. Last time He was here He didn't get a warm reception. His "radical thoughts" of loving everyone weren't appreciated 2,000 years ago and I don't think we would accept that message now either.

4. Would he be running for President?

Do I think the Son of God will run for President? No. Since He will be ruling the earth during His millennial reign anyway, I don't think He will be interested.

Ya know, my church has some very interesting ideas about that ...

I tried to keep my answers as intelligent and non-preachy as possible but your questions are kind of ... obvious. I'm not sure how to intellectually engage the question of whether or not Jesus would wear a Rolex.
