The draft order is:
Monogodo
Dave
Jeckles
Mango
C8irvin
Bacon

Snake-style draft, so if there are four people, it goes 1,2,3,4,4,3,2,1,1,2,etc.

the d6 die rolls to determine position were (i.e. mono and dave each has 6s for first roll and 5s on second roll):
Monogodo 655
Dave 652
Jeckles 5
Mango 45
c8irvin 41
Bacon 1

I'm not going to be around much tonight, so by all means make my picks for me to speed things up. Just give me the next ranked team.

Bracket selections are out and it looks like we've only got six suspects this year, right? So, I'd assume we're going TEN teams deep or ? Thought getting fifth (or sixth) overrall was initially a drag, but considering two of the four #1 seeds are not so formidable, imo, I like getting 5 & 8. Not too sure when it'll get around to me, so I'll keep sporadic tabs on the haps and go from there. MM regards, Chris - Prey4Reign

Seeing as I'll be picking a two seed first, you'll likely enjoy one of the lesser #1s.

Yeah, we'll go 10 deep. The 16 seeds will be left off.

Ugh, I'm sick as a dog. Fill in my picks as you wish. Sucks for me. I actually look forward to this. Bah.

That does suck, Dave. Sure hope you're feeling better REAL soon. The way the tempo's going, you may be back to your ol' self by the middle rounds (where you separate the contenders from the pretenders). Was curious to know if you'd take the lesser of the two K-teams with your pick or ? Whatever the case, GET WELL SOON !!!

I'm going to take the liberty and make the 2nd overall selection for Dave, since he's no doubt still very much under the weather. If it were a brain-scrambler, I wouldn't be doing this, but...the pick is KENTUCKY. From this point, it looks like JECKLES is on the clock. Hopefully, Dave will check-in for his next pick(s).

MM regards, Chris

This is kinda painful.

Unless Jeckles is an asshole, we all know who my first pick is.

In the interests of expediency, I have no problem with autopicks for my choices, based on the highest ranking team at the time my pick comes up.

I've sent Jeckles a courtesy reminder message a few hrs ago that he's on the clock, but...no reply yet.

Anyone got a more DIRECT way to contact Jeckles ?

Just sent him an IM, got an auto-response of "I am currently idle."

Just got a response from him:

Alright, let's get the ball rolling. By default ranking, Jeckles gets Duke. Rest assured,
Mango is taking Ohio State. So with the 5th pick, I'll go with Syracuse.

This means that Bacon is on the clock for picks 6 & 7.

Got a auction baseball draft at 5pm PT, but I'll check in to see if Bacon goes,
then I'll pick 8th and maybe Mango can make the default pick 10 for Jeckles
after he picks the 9th team. Sound good ?? MM regards, Chris - Prey4Reign

blast. sorry guys. all sorts of sickness and work and unfun things kept me away the last few days. (i would've gone with syracuse because of their bracket, which i know is maybe a strange choice, but there you go.)

so...this is the least far we've ever gotten with this thing. autopicking every single pick other than the first round seems utterly pointless (yet eerily familiar to my other fantasy teams whose fates I've abandoned to chance).

two options:
1. there are only 4 of us who seem to be interested. jeckles is too busy; bacon is a no-show. someone (not me) can randomly assign one team of each rank to the four of us (one #1, one #2, and so on to the 16th ranked teams, i.e. we each get a #1, we each get a #2, etc.). You would start from scratch, so Kansas would be in play again. Roll a die, pick a name out of a hat, whatever. If you had the misfortune of playing D&D as a kid, you could even roll a four sided die. What joy!
2. forget it. try again next year. maybe try to find a half hour window that we can all get online together and bang out these picks.

again, my apologies for my contribution to this clusterfuck.

I've got nothing going on this morning at work.

I can do one up for the four of us, if that's cool.

Not quite sure what's the haps, but I can concentrate totally on this until the opening tip or thereabouts. I'll keep this window open while I do some alternative stuff. MM regards, Chris (P.S. - I'll give up SYR for KY !!)

Yeah, best bet is to set a specific timeframe for 30 minutes to crank this out (like at 8:30am PT ??)
