So my boyfriend and I went out and got Modern Warfare 2 shortly after it came out. I'm very impressed with the game! They fixed so many things about the game. Things that players didn't like in Call of Duty 4 were fixed or updated. The perks are awesome. They evened out a lot of the perks, too. They added new killstreaks, they added titles and emblems to give players the ability to add character to their name online. They added more incentive to play, you're awarded points for doing average things. You get points for killing someone on a killstreak, you get points for getting the first kill, you get tons of extra points you don't have to fight for with challenges. You can have perks like ninja to sneak up on irritating campers, you can use cold-blooded so that enemy killstreaks won't shoot you down constantly. Anyway, before I run on and on, I just love the game and am glad I bought it. Do you guys own the game? And if you do, what do you think of it, especially compared to Call of Duty 4?

I hated the game so much that I returned it for a refund. It was boring, the campaign made no sense and the multiplayer was really no different than CoD4. I did like how they evened out the perks, as you said. Martyrdom is a killingstreak perk I believe now. MW2 is the highest selling game of all time. The day after it's release, Halo 3 had more than a quarter million people online playing. A 3 year old game has been churning out significantly higher numbers than the brand new CoD. That's just fucking sad.

Martyrdom is now a deathstreak, it's not a killstreak. There are many differences between COD4 and MW2 but I guess you have to know more about both the games to know that. I played COD4 a lot and Modern Warfare 2 kicked the shit out of it, although COD4 will always be a classic game for me. Everyone has their preferences though. Like me for example, I hate Halo. So I can already see, we'll never agree on MW2's awesomeness. lol Oh well.
