Saw this by accident. Expected to hate it. I mean really, it has no business being any good. It started out slow. It continued to be slow. I can't say any of the characters were memorable, but I liked the 'salvager of souls' thing and found myself wanting to see more after the movie ended. I can't believe I'm saying this--especially because the necessity for the soul salvager to be on a ship is ludicrous...he's going to have a hard time finding work when aircars and airships become commonplace--but 'not crap' says me.
Man, and I remember rolling my eyes when I first saw the poster for this thing.

I'm in the same boat as you (muawhaha) but found myself not hating it too. Not crap.

Since we have so much in common, maybe we should share a Fresca, watch Lifetime movies and gossip about boys together.

I expected it to be a pile of crap. But then, it turned into a pile of not crap. The soundtrack was awesome. And that scene with the cable? Gut-spillingly fanfuckingtastic. They kinda opened it up to a sequel though. That would probably be crap.
Shut your face. If I wanted to hear from an asshole, I'd fart.

I saw this movie so long ago that I don't remember much about it, except that Nurse Carol Hathaway was in it and that the big cable accident at the beginning of the film was very much of the "not crap" variety.

It's what Titanic should have been.

I would have watched Titanic if more people had died in a gory manner.
