I was watching Transformers last night and I followed it with T2-ROTF and it occurred to me that every time the cube activated a mechanical device from Earth, it turned into what one could only describe as a Decepticon.
Why are there no Autobots created when Earth's mechanical devices are exposed to the cube?

In the first movie, it is explained that all electronics were reversed engineered by studying NBE-1 (Megatron). That means that Decepticon programming was found on any hardware/software. That is why that when the spark creates the robots, they have decepticon programming.

Strangely enough, it really does. I had totally erased the whole "we got all our technology from the big scary monster robot thingy that was stuck in ice" story line, so yeah... of COURSE all our technology has Decepticon programming.
