Great moments of internet reading. Sometimes you're bored. Sometimes you've got an hour or so to kill. You might stumble across the story of a mom whose child was allegedly burned at a fast-food joint. At first you sympathize. Then the fabric of the story begins to unravel. It turns into a flame war. Wild accusations fly back and forth. Then the legitimacy of the site itself is called into question (the meat starts on page 5). Suddenly you wonder if the original post was worse than a slip-and-fall type scam, worse than a hoax. You wonder if the entire incident were made up of whole cloth.
At this point, you might say, "damn, I wasted all this time reading nonsense." Or you might say, "this was better than any wikipedia dispute/flame war."
There are a few gems: "I for one wish the waitress had spilled all that hot food on your hands preventing you from ever typing again." (emphasis added for clarity)
