But with all of them out there, which one truly answers our prayers for a community site!
Let us list a few with their goods and bads!
By the way, if you are partially like my and think that these sites can be boring and lame, feel free to say so.
Myspace- Pretty colours, though often meeting new people is sorta impossible, considering you fear for your life being tracked down and molested by 40 year olds. (I'm only 17 and fear the theivery of my precious precious virginity.) Another downside of Myspace is that everyone seems to want to change their page to make it fancy and cooler, in actual fact it turns into a confusing maze where the "Comment me" button is hidden behind a picture of Adam Sandler wrestling a crocodile.
Facebook- My personal preference, everyones page is similiarly set up, so it dosn't get irritating going page to page. But this does meen a lack of customisation so you don't have pretty colours anymore. Also, meeting people is alot easier, there isn't any "Know the persons email and last name" 'barriers', I met a hilarious fello in Nigeria, his name was Kabal, I hope that he one day will challenge Sektor in a battle to the death.
Twitter- I have never used it, but it looks like one giant Facebook wall? Amirite? If it is, thats retarded....
I know there is going to be more out there, havn't looked myself, don't plan on it.
BTW this is basically my first post, I'm rather bored and thought a little foruming would be fun, which led to my typing "Forum of Awesome" in google, I ended up here...SATISFY MY GOOGLEING INTERWEB

the fact that some celebs and politicians feel they need to twitter in order to reach their fans/voters makes me want to puke. Not the celebs so much, because I expect them to be dumbasses, but the politicians. Not that they aren't also dumbasses, but I expect more from them.
I don't care that people use those sites, but I do care when they tell me I have to in order to contact them. I already have a place I login to contact people I know. It's called email. Stop trying to clutter my life with trendy crap.

As someone nearing the 40 range and who does have a MySpace I have to protest that. Not every person on there wants to talk to 17 year olds so you might want to ease off the broad-sweeping insults.

I also have Twitter but I've stopped using it for anything other than my goal of getting the station mentioned on either of the "Real Housewives" shows. Twitter makes me laugh, people take it so seriously and now they're writing books on it! Social media 101, it's insane.
Facebook wins. The layout is plain and not painful on the eyes. You can set it to not see updates you don't want to see and I've loved getting back in touch with people I haven't seen or talked to in years. The best part of FB for me though was getting acknowledged by my all-time favourite author who reads what people write on his wall. So far I've had nothing but good experiences with Facebook.
