i heard mention of food. where is it? who's cooking? (hell hath no fury like a pregnant woman's hunger)

Rilah, when I was pregnant I had at least 7 pints of Ben & Jerry's in the freezer at all times.

my weakness has been brownies. okay, really, anything chocolate. but it'd been so long since i'd allowed myself the pleasure of brownies that i've been making up for lost time, a pan a week at a time.
so far, everytime that i've bought ice cream, it's gone bad. stupid morning sickness really messed up my common sense.

i only craved dry cereal. must've eaten a case of cheerios.

the GREAT thing about "morning sickness" (aka All Day Sickness) was that it completely demolished my smoking habit.

I didn't have cravings at all for any of my three kids.

I feel like I missed out.

I've never been pregnant, but one of my managers at work is pregnant for the first time, and she must crave oranges, because every time see her he's eating orance slices, and the break room constantly smells like orange.

I had weird cravings...all I wanted to eat was cheese puffs, those crappy ham & cheese croissant sandwiches from 7-11, and then all day I would eat crunchy sesame breadsticks dipped in a bottle of Catalina dressing.

Woe betide the person who let me run out of dressing.

Maybe that's why we're not together any more. :)
No, I didn't kill him.

Ah, I quit cold turkey the day I confirmed preggo-status. The real shit part for me was that I had just developed a taste for beer and had to give that up as well.

Incidentally, I gained 60 lbs. in pregnancy and my daughter only came out weighing 6 lbs. 4 oz.
You could say I indulged.
Mmmmm breakfast burritos.

on the day of failing the preggo-test, i quit smoking the REALLY fun stuff, and taking psych meds and my daily dose of 3 double caesars. for some reason, cigarettes just won't leave me. so far, at 7 months, i'm up hmmmm...27 lbs. but we'll see the end weight! (damn brownies).

and yup, defiant, if you didn't know it already, get some women together and mention pregnancy and all kinda stories will come out of the woodwork, no matter the previous conversation.

i gained a ton of weight with both pregnancies--actually, the exact same amount both times despite exercising like a mad woman with the first and doing absolutely nothing with the second.

I smoked through all of my pregnancies and I'm glad I did.

They say that smoking reduces the birth weight etc and I'm glad because all of my kids came out around the 8 pound mark. Screw having bigger babies. They made my vagina hurt.

Did I hear a call for brownies? I have brownies. They're in my hut on the island, I'll bring you a brownie.

I gained 10 pounds....I guess I had enough fat to make room for my son.
If I had made it past 7mths I would of gained alot more from all the oatmeal pies I ate.
Shutter quit smoking for a week when we found out...but he said it was the only thing that helped his morning sickness :D

hence me not REALLYREALLY having the motivation to stop. i'm going for a 7-8 pounder. anything more and i may resemble the child from the exorcist and will likely never have sex again, as my boyfriend will worry about THAT happening again. somehow, i'm still not getting the dynamic of an 8+lb baby coming out of a pelvis that's attached to 34" hips...seems wrong and against nature, someway. oh well, bones will break and muscles will tear, i suppose. :ermm:
