Reuters reported on a study that found employees who occasionally surfed YouTube or Facebook during the day were 9% more productive.
Now I'm perfectly willing to believe that an occasional break makes you more productive, but my understanding was that several studies had already been made proving unblocked Internet access to Facebook or similar sites reduced productivity in the workplace. So...is this a post-April Fool's joke?
Facebook vs productivity in the workplace

When I was in facebook, I had a virtual dog, kitten and horse.
I had a green patch, 2 sea gardens and during christmas, I had a christmas tree and sent and received a number of virtual presents.
I also collected crystals, goth dolls, fraggles, butterflies and a variety of other doodads that really mean fuck all.
It was taking up a fair chunk of my time and while I never went on facebook while I was at work, I know it would have taken a fair chunk of time to keep my affairs in order.
