I received this email from Twitter today:

Hi, monogodo.

Stephen Fry (stephenfry) is now following your updates on Twitter.

Check out Stephen Fry's profile here:

Best,
Twitter

For those of you who don't know, Stephen Fry was part of the British Comedy duo, A Bit of Fry & Laurie, with Hugh Laurie. Hugh Laurie is probably better known to US viewers as Dr. House from the hit Fox series House. Whenever I think of either of them, I picture Laurie playing piano & Fry creating a made-up drink during the end credits of the episode.

You're famous.

I'll say this for Fry... he's a boring fuck in Twitter.

Most people are boring in Twitter.

My wife and I were talking about it this morning. Famous people don't follow Little People like us. They usually have 5000 followers, and they follow 30-40. The people they follow are people they know in real life. To have someone as famous as Stephen Fry following me makes me feel somewhat special.

The bad thing about it is that it makes me think about what I tweet, kinda like how I don't use as much profanity in my tweets now that my city councilperson is following me.

Oh I agree that you're special for being followed by Fry. I'm only speaking the truth here - with absolutely no bitterness or anything, but those famous people are usually too self absorbed to follow the comings and goings of other people, especially those of the non-famous persuasion, so you must be doing something right.

I was just a little disappointed that he wasn't "funny".
