Once again, the bloodiest time of year is upon us. Yay Halloween! There seem to be fewer and fewer Apple-razor-bladers and Poisoners and to that I say, "slackers!"

Okay, here's the deal:
Go to the store sometime in October. Buy the following:
1. a bag of apples
2. a box of razor blades
3. a bag of candy
4. rat poison or turpentine or liquid bug killer or anything of that sort
5. Nothing else. That should be your entire purchase.

(Please, do NOT actually give this to a kid. Not even as a joke. I will not bail you out of jail.)

Please email me your experience with the cashier. Remember to say "Happy Halloween" to the cashier. Did he/she say anything? How did he/she look at you? Try to wait on line with the most number of parents. If you chicken out, email me how you chickened out. That could be funny too.

Or hell, just post it if you don't want to email it.

What someone should do is buy the stuff and then return it on November 1. "Yeah, it just didn't work out this year..."

God DAMN IT I just got back from shopping at like 3 different stores and I totally forgot it was Halloween. I should be ashamed of myself. This was originally my idea.
Build a man a fire and he will be warm for a day. Light a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

As you know, we don't do the Halloween thing here, but Geof took the girls trick or treating on Friday night because they wanted to see how they'd do. Because Geof and the girls were doing that, I thought the best thing to do would be to buy bags and bags of lollies in case other kids got the same idea. Stuck it all in a bowl near the front door and waited.

Caris and Cheyenne came back with a small handful of lollies, some eggs (???) and strawberries (?!?!?!) and NO ONE came to our house, so I gave the kids all the lollies in the bowl.

Cheyenne's words... "Awwwwwww man!!! You mean that we walked for HOURS and got eggs and strawberries, but we could have stayed home and got all THIS?!?!?"

Man that would have been funny! I shouldve done that but instead I bought too much candy and no trick or treaters went to my house! So I went to the store to return 2 bags but I couldnt since they're 'halloween' candy.

That sucks, considering everyone knows that store owners just drag the same crap out year after year... Some of that halloween candy has been kicking around since the time of witch burnings.
